A few words about the Park
The "A. Tritsis" Environmental Education & Sensitization Park is expanded to 900 acres and is one of the last refugees of wildlife in the Athens urban environment. The lakes are the predominant element of the landscape, surrounded by various types of fauna. As the wetlands of Attica are shrinking the last years, the lakes of the Park have attracted various species of birds, while the deciduous and coniferous trees, the reedbeds and agricultural cultivations are creating the habitat for various animal species. Follow the special environmental paths, visit the exhibition room learn about the habitats and the wildlife that lives in them and help to protect this unique place and to increase the interest about it. |
