Site Description
The site has two large freshwater lakes with reedbeds ( Phragmites ) and surrounding arable land.

Land use: agriculture (25%), fisheries/aquaculture (70%), tourism/recreation (10%), water management (70%)

2275 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) LIMNI LYSIMACHIA(GR2310013).

This is an important site for wintering ducks.
