Site Description
A mountain in southern Pindos with well-forested slopes, alpine grasslands and cliffs.

Habitats: Coastline/rocky areas (10%, Inland cliffs), Forest (60%, Broadleaved deciduous woodland; Mixed woodland; Native coniferous woodland), Grassland (10%, Alpine, subalpine and boreal grassland), Shrubland (10%, Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis)
Land use: agriculture (50%), forestry (30%), tourism/recreation (5%), unknown (15%), water management

National Low International None
1,440ha of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Ag. Paraskeui- Kranies/Pramanton, 1,440ha). 1,572ha of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Melissourgon, 1,572ha). 1,000ha of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Vourgareliou, 1,000ha).
Birds
This is an important area for raptors and forest and scrub species.

Conservation issues
The main threats are from deforestation and increasing holiday home construction. Part of the area is a candidate SAC.
