Site Description
A hilly area dominated by Quercus forest. Human activities include agriculture, forestry, livestock-farming, and hunting.

Habitats: Artificial landscapes (10%, Arable land), Coastline/rocky areas (5%, Inland cliffs), Forest (65%, Broadleaved deciduous woodland), Grassland (10%, Steppes and dry calcareous grassland), Shrubland (10%, Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis; Scrub)
Land use: agriculture (70%), forestry (50%), water management (10%)

Part of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Prosilio- Ronitsa/Delvinakiou, 1,525ha).17383 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) OROS DOUSKON, ORAIOKASTRO, DASOS MEROPIS, KOILADA GORMOU, LIMNI DELVINAKIOU(GR2130010).
Birds
This is an important site for forest species and resident raptors. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Phalacrocorax pygmeus .
