Site Description
Hills on the southern edge of the Thessalian plain covered with phrygana and arable cultivation.

Habitats: Artificial landscapes (25%, Arable land; Other urban and industrial areas), Coastline/rocky areas (10%, Inland cliffs), Shrubland (65%, Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis)

Land use: agriculture (85%), not utilised (10%), urban/industrial/transport (5%)

This is an important site for species associated with scrub and arable land.

Conservation issues
The main threats are from the intensification of agriculture and hunting. The demolition of old buildings is a particular threat to Falco naumanni (`Other' threats, above).
