Conservation issues
Threats are from agricultural intensification around the IBA, water-level fluctuations, drainage, groundwater abstraction and surface water abstraction (`Other' threats). There is a plan to build a large reservoir. Part of the area is a candidate SAC.

Threats: agricultural intensification/expansion (high), aquaculture/fisheries (low), construction/impact of dyke/dam/barrage (medium), disturbance to birds (high), drainage (high), groundwater abstraction (high), other (unknown)
