Site Description
Two small river valleys and surrounding hills dominated by scrub and pastures. Human activities include livestock-farming, hunting and mining.

Habitats: Coastline/rocky areas (5%, Inland cliffs), Forest (5%, Alluvial and very wet forest), Grassland (20%, Steppes and dry calcareous grassland), Shrubland (60%, Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis; Scrub)

Land use: agriculture (80%), not utilised, urban/industrial/transport (5%)

The area is important for breeding raptors and passerines characteristic of mixed pasture and forest.

Conservation issues
Threats come from a cement factory in the Apsalos valley and plans to regulate the Moglenista river. The area is a candidate SAC.
