Site Description
A small island and adjacent islets off south-eastern Crete. Dry grassland is the dominant vegetation cover. Human activities include fishing and tourism, although there are no permanent inhabitants on the island.

Habitats: Grassland (70%, Steppes and dry calcareous grassland), Sea/marine area (5%, Sea inlets and coastal features), Shrubland (15%, Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis), Wetland (5%, Sand dunes and beaches)

Land use: fisheries/aquaculture (5%), tourism/recreation, unknown

This is an important site for breeding raptors associated with coastal areas and seabirds.
