Site Description
A wooded mountain in Crete dominated by Pinus and Quercus . The woodland cover has been reduced by recent fires. Human activities include livestock-farming and tourism.

Part of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Chalasia/Zenion-Exo Potamon-Mesa Lasithiou, 1,100 ha). Part of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Dasos Viannou-Amiron/Viannou-Amiron-Kefalovryso, 1,300 ha).
12980 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) LAZAROS KORYFI - MADARA DIKTIS(GR4320010).2100 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) KORYFI KOUPA (DYTIKI DIKTI)(GR4320012).2130 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) FARAGGI SELINARI-VRACHASI(GR4320013).
