A steep mountain and gorge dominated by phrygana. The main human activity is livestock-farming.

8700 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) ZOROS - AGATHI - KEDROS(GR4330006).7650 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) KOYRTALIOTIKO FARAGGI, FARAGGI PREVELI(GR4330007).
