Site Description
This site is dominated by maquis and phrygana. Fires have created large barren areas. The main human activity is livestock-farming.

Habitats: Coastline/rocky areas (80%, Inland cliffs; Rock stacks and islets; Scree and boulders), Shrubland (40%, Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis)

4950 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) METERIZIA AGIOS DIKAIOS - TSOUNARA - VITSILIA LEFKON OREON(GR4340016).


Birds
The site is important for species characteristic of Mediterranean scrub.
