Overgrazing is the main threat to this site. Disturbance by fishermen caused the abandonment of the Larus audouinii in 1997. Rats and cats have been introduced. A management plan was produced in 1997- 1999 as part of a LIFE project. The IBA is situated within a candidate SAC.

Threats: abandonment/reduction of land management (medium), agricultural intensification/expansion (high), consequences of animal/plant introductions (unknown), disturbance to birds (high), unsustainable exploitation (unknown)
