Site Description
A group of islands and islets, excluding the main settlements. Paros and Antiparos both have wetlands and arable land. The centre of Paros and the surrounding islets are covered with scrub and phrygana.

Habitats: Artificial landscapes (20%, Arable land; Perennial crops, orchards and groves; Ruderal land), Coastline/rocky areas (30%, Inland cliffs; Rock stacks and islets; Sea cliffs and rocky shores), Shrubland (50%, Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis)

Land use: agriculture (80%), fisheries/aquaculture (5%), tourism/recreation (15%)

Part of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Stroudoular- Ag. Pantes/Lefkon- Kostou, 600ha).2414 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) NISIDES PAROU KAI NOTIA ANTIPAROS(GR4220025).

The site is important for migratory waterbirds and breeding raptors.
