Site Description
A remote island and the surrounding rocky islets in the northern Aegean Sea. The dominant vegetation is phrygana.

Habitats: Artificial landscapes (5%, Other urban and industrial areas; Perennial crops, orchards and groves), Coastline/rocky areas (20%, Rock stacks and islets; Sea cliffs and rocky shores), Forest (26%, Broadleaved deciduous woodland), Shrubland (60%, Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis), Wetland (5%, Sand dunes and beaches)

Land use: agriculture (85%), not utilised (15%)

Birds
An important site for breeding seabirds, raptors and for passage migrants. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Falco naumanni (passage).

Conservation issues
The main threats come from grazing of scrub and forest and from deliberate burning of the phrygana. The area is a candidate SAC.
