Site Description
A coastal marsh enclosed by sand-dunes, Pinus forest and maquis covered hills.

Habitats: Artificial landscapes (Other urban and industrial areas), Coastline/rocky areas (Inland cliffs; Sea cliffs and rocky shores), Forest (Native coniferous woodland), Sea/marine area (Sea inlets and coastal features), Shrubland (Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis), Wetland (Fens, transition mires and springs; Salt marshes; Sand dunes and beaches; Standing brackish and salt water; Water fringe vegetation)

Conservation issues
There are plans to establish an Olympic rowing and canoeing centre and golf course on this site, which would destroy most of the area. Other threats include urban development and expansion, both legal and illegal.

Threats: construction/impact of dyke/dam/barrage (medium), disturbance to birds (medium), drainage (medium), dredging/canalization (medium), filling-in of wetlands (low), groundwater abstraction (medium), infrastructure (high), recreation/tourism (low)
