Site Description
This coastal site is dominated by phrygana and perennial crops, particularly olive-groves. The village of Galaxidi lies within the IBA. Human activities include livestock-farming, arable agriculture and hunting.

Habitats: Artificial landscapes (28%, Arable land; Other urban and industrial areas; Perennial crops, orchards and groves), Shrubland (70%, Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis)

Land use: agriculture (20%), tourism/recreation, urban/industrial/transport

Part of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Xirotri/Galaxidiou- Penteorioan, 1,300ha).

The site is important for species associated with a mixture of scrub and agricultural land.
