Site Description
An area of old olive-groves, Quercus woodland and Pinus forests, interspersed with scrub and some pasture and cultivation. Human activities include agriculture, forestry, stock-raising, and hunting.

Habitats: Forest (60%, Broadleaved deciduous woodland; Native coniferous woodland), Shrubland (40%, Sclerophyllous scrub, garrigue and maquis)
Land use: agriculture (50%), forestry (40%), tourism/recreation (10%)

National None International None 9742 ha of the IBA are covered by Special Protection Area (SPA) OROPEDIO FOLOIS(GR2330002).

This is an important site for species characteristic of a mosaic of forest, pasture and olive-groves.

Conservation issues
The main threats include illegal hunting, illegal logging and the burning of vegetation. Part of the area is a candidate SAC.
