The Hellenic Rarities Committee  in its November 11th, 2006 session accepted the findings of the study by Panagiotis Latsoudis (contributor of HRC)  "Preliminary distribution study of the Ring-necked Parakeet Psittacula krameri in Greece" and added the species to the List of the Birds of Greece as a Class C species (Hellenic Rarities Committee, 2007: Annual Report – 2006).
